General Information about Bor Tiger Reserve This holiday season travel in 3,237 hectares of forest reserve which includes unclassified area of 660 hectares and protected area of 2,213 hectors. The flora and fauna of this area is diverse and is the central location of all tiger habitats. There is a wide range of flora and fauna in this moist and dry deciduous forest; tree species includes bamboo, teak, ain and tendu. The sanctuary has an area of 121 sq km also has a drainage basin. In July 2014 it was declared as tiger reserve, along with our national animal, it is also the home for diversified wild animals. This reserve is centrally located among other tiger habitats; these includes Pench Tige Reserve, Nagzira Navegaon Tiger Reserve, Umred Karhandla Wildlife Sanctuary, in south east there is Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve.
